If you are on Facebook, you have probably ran across advertising for Flock Chicken Chips marketed as the ultimate guilt free, keto friendly, low carb, and high protein snack. Our super tasty, crispy chicken chips, are made from 100% real chicken. 0G Sugar per pack. 180 Calories. The ads are usually of “customers” eating the chips which resemble pork skins, and raving on the taste and flavor.

Sounds good right?

Most of their posts have thousands of likes and comments and me being an extreme foodie, it was an easy sell to me. I went straight to the company website (never order from links on social media if possible to avoid scams) to check out the product details and ended up purchasing the 8pack box for like $25, with the 10% off coupon, plus tax they were like 23 bucks. Divided by 8, less than $3 a bag. Not bad. The bags are 1 oz bags plus all the air.

In the 8pack combo there were 4 different flavors: ORIGINAL, BBQ, Hattie B’s Hot, Salt & Vinegar.

Placed my order and got confirmation order was received. I was expecting shipping confirmation within next 24-48 hours but never received it. I waited a couple of more days and followed up on it about 4-5 days later. Shipping/tracking was returned immediately and so I waited. I am guessing the warehouse is in Nevada because it took another 5 days to receive the order.

I was so excited to try this product because of the ads. I am a sucker for a good snack especially if it’s supposed to be a healthier solution. The bags are super nice, kind of a matte style, not too busy. The actual chips are crispier than expected. A couple of bags tasted slightly overcooked. I guess I was expecting more of a puffy snack like pork skins. These are more of a harder crunch like cracklins. The chips are also more oily than expected, maybe due to being cooked in sunflower oil. The seasoning was very lackluster, which was the biggest disappointment. A snack like this should be loaded with seasoning and flavor.

The Salt & Vinegar flavor had very little of the sour punch you would expect with the flavor. The BBQ flavor was good but just not enough of it and same with the Hattie B’s flavor which should definitely be busting with flavor and heat. Ironically, the Original flavor is the most flavorful in terms of tasting like chicken skin.

Overall, with processing and delivery time included, I give these chips a 7/10. They are the kind of snack I would purchase if they were at my local corner store but I don’t know if I would re-order them again. One thing they did get right was the branding and advertising. The brand is very unique and has alot of potential. I really like visuals and clean cut packaging. The chips are not terrible but they definitely need more seasoning.

Flock also has other healthy snacks such as chicken breast sticks, which resemble jerky sticks, available at FlockFoods.Com.
